A diverse team with a drive for social impact
Hi, I’m Vash
Hi, I’m Vash Ebbadi-Cook (he/they)! I am a settler, immigrant, and refugee born in Iran and raised in Toronto, the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. I now live in Prince George, BC, on the traditional and unceded territory of the Lheidli T'enneh.
My journey working across several areas of healthcare and social services has given me a unique perspective on improving systems. I began my career in clinical care as a ward clerk in the transplant unit and have since held roles spanning clinical research, facilities planning, research governance, population and public health, and workforce sustainability.
With more than two decades of experience, I bring expertise in strategic planning, culturally safe program design, quality improvement, and fostering cross-sectoral partnerships. My approach is deeply rooted in collaboration and the belief that sustainable solutions come from empowering organizations to align their work with their values and the communities they serve.
Through Endura Consulting, my aim is to support organizations to drive meaningful, systemic change by designing strategies that advance health, wellbeing and social equity, innovation, and measurable improvements.

Hi, I’m Marissa
Marissa Alexander (she/they) MA-IS, RD
Lead Consultant & Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Specialist
Hello! I’m Marissa Alexander (she/they), founder of Uproot Consulting. I am a Black, queer, neurodiverse settler living and working in Prince George, British Columbia, on the unceded territory of the Lheidli T’enneh. My lived experience navigating systems shaped by race, power, and colonialism informs how I approach leadership, learning, and systems change.
My career spans roles as an executive director, anti-racism educator, facilitator, evaluator, and registered dietitian across public health, non-profit, community, and academic settings. I began my work in nutrition, food security, and community health, and now focus on anti-racism, equity, and culturally grounded practice that supports organizations to examine harm and build more accountable, inclusive systems. My work bridges research, policy, education, and practice across healthcare, education, and social systems.
With over a decade of experience, I bring an intersectional, interdisciplinary lens rooted in anti-racism, equity, and culture. My approach is deeply relational and grounded in humility, curiosity, and humour. I am committed to challenging systems of oppression while making space for creativity, art, and joy—because meaningful change requires not only dismantling inequity, but also imagining and practicing more liberatory ways of being together.
When I’m not working with Endura Consulting I am spending time with my queer family, cooking, eating, and creating joyful art!
Hi, I’m Laurel
Hello! I’m Laurel Burton (she/her). I am a British-Irish settler living on the unceded, unsurrendered traditional territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Peoples, the customary keepers of the Ottawa River watershed (Kichi Sibi). I navigate life with chronic pain and ADHD, which shapes my perspective on resilience and equity.
My career spans roles as a policy analyst, evaluator, community development specialist, and public health dietitian across government, nonprofit, and international settings. I began working in public health, food security, and community development, and now focus on equity-centred, participatory, and mixed-method evaluations that drive systems change. Through this work, I help strengthen programs, inform strategic decision-making, and foster collaboration by bridging research, policy, and practice across complex national and international initiatives.
With over a decade of experience, I bring expertise in strategic evaluation design, policy analysis, and learning-focused approaches that improve program effectiveness, accountability, and impact. My approach is rooted in integrity, curiosity, and partnership, and guided by the belief that sustainable solutions emerge when organizations align their work with their value and the communities they serve. I am committed to challenging systems of oppression and creating safer, more equitable spaces through every aspect of my work.
Outside of Endura Consulting, I enjoy cycling, puzzling, and spoiling my Sch-mutt with an ever-growing toy collection.
Hi, I’m Chris
Hi! My name is Chris Kennedy (he/him). I am a gay, disabled, cisgender white man of privilege with a working-class upbringing, and I’m deeply aware of how both my lived experience and my access shape how I move through the world. That awareness informs how I show up in my work, how I listen, and how I use my voice and influence in service of others.
I acknowledge that I live, work, and play on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples. I am mindful of the waters that give life to this place - the inlet known as səl̓ilw̓ət (Burrard Inlet) and the river known as Kia'palano (Capilano River) - and the entire network of surrounding waterways that have been stewarded since time immemorial. My relationship to this land is one of daily life, but I seek to move beyond being a visitor or occupant. I plan to create a commitment grounded in respect, accountability, and community care. My actions will be tangible: I will do my part to keep the land and waterways clear, take out whatever I bring in, and walk gently, especially in sensitive areas. Through these ongoing actions, I hope to honour the deep stewardship of the Nations who have cared for these lands and vital waters since time immemorial.
I’m a people-first systems thinker focused on operational organization, training and education, and thoughtful change management. I believe clear, inclusive systems help people and organizations do their best work. Some of my favorite moments are when things finally click for someone and they have that “aha!” realization. Helping people get there is what energizes me most.
My experience spans SaaS, retail leadership, nonprofit governance, and consulting, which allows me to approach challenges from multiple perspectives. I support organizations in untangling messy workflows, documenting institutional knowledge, improving onboarding and training, and designing processes that reduce friction rather than create it. I balance structure with empathy so changes are effective and sustainable for the people using them. I’m also a fierce advocate for and within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, with board and volunteer experience in national nonprofit leadership, community education, and equity-focused advocacy. This work informs how I approach systems, language, and culture, because inclusion is not performative. It lives in the details.
As a consultant, I partner with organizations and founders who want to build strong foundations or thoughtfully improve what already exists. I’m known for bringing clarity, calm, and accountability to complex work.
I believe clarity is an act of care, and I bring that mindset into every collaboration with Endura Consulting.
